Favorite time to take pictures

I'm not sure why it is but this time of year I am ready to grab my camera, tripod, and head out at the first sight of Lightning. I have been looking for the chance to capture lightning for about 2 years now and got this chance at captured this image. Now that the weather is changing I'm ready again to set.

Sunset in the Port Of Long Beach

Just as we started out of our day in the Port Of Long Beach I stopped to get this picture just as the sun went behind the shipping docks. Wish I had some clouds in the picture but still was great picture with the color of the sky.

Planes Of Fame Chino

Today we are on the road looking for some Planes from the past. So we started out with the idea of going to the March Field Museum. After parking and seeing the planes on display we were ready for a fun day of shooting. As we walk into the hanger we see an older lady and older man who stop us and say good morning. We then ask if we could come in and take pictures of the planes on display, to my shock the older man said that we could come in and take pictures but we could not bring in a tripod. I thought this was a little strange and asked why it was that we could bring in camera's that cost in the $1000's of dollars and not a $30 tripod. The older man didn't like the question and got crabby to say the least. So we walked out and went for about a 20-25 minute drive to the Planes Of Fame at Chino Airport. Here are a couple pictures from our day at the Chino Airport. And by the way you can bring in your camera and tripod at the chino airport.

Mount Rubidoux

Today we are taking a hike up Mount Rubidoux, it's about a 3 1/2 mile round trip around Mount Rubidoux where you will find many people walking, running, or just out for a calm afternoon out with friends. Here is a picture from the top of Mount Rubidoux. Park hours change with the season so please check times before spending your day on Mt. Rubidoux.

Inland Empire Photos

Many times I drive the same roads and never stop to look around to see what I could be missing. On a trip driving up the 215 I stopped by the Orange Empire Railway Museum. At first look I wondered if the Museum was even open. I walked around the grounds for about 10 minutes and found a volunteer and asked if by any chance any of the trains were out on display. He then took me to the office that I passed on the way in and I talked to the office and asked if I could take some pictures of the trains and she had the volunteer come back to meet me at the office and take me around. The pictures I got from the tour was Amazing. I will post the information for the Orange Empire Railway Museum. If your ever in the area of the I215 in the Menifee, Perris area you should take the time to call the Museum and take a tour.
